Les Lices Market
One of the oldest markets in France takes place every Saturday on this square, surrounded by beautiful bourgeois residences and town houses.
The Thabor Botanical Gardens
The Thabor is a real haven of peace and greenery right in the city centre. Formerly the gardens of The Saint-Melaine Abbey, there are over 10 hectares of grounds.
Place de la Mairie and the Opera
Built between 1734 and 1743, the town hall is made up of two wings joined together by the Clock tower. The theatre opposite was inaugurated in 1836 and is today Rennes' opera.
