The third largest city in Corsica, Porto-Vecchio is an attractive seaside resort thanks to its beautiful coastline and wonderful sandy beaches.
At the heart of the upper town you will discover the Citadel, and down below it the Marina, which provides a pleasant setting for a cool drink, a meal or a walk along the quayside. At an altitude of 3,000 feet, the Ospedale massif offers a panoramic view of the coastline and in particular of the Porto-Vecchio Gulf. Its national forest, at the heart of the Regional Natural Park of Corsica, is the starting point of many splendid hiking trails. Its location between sea and mountain makes Porto-Vecchio a region to discover or to rediscover.
Located in the far south of the Island of Beauty, the town of Bonifacio is truly an open-air museum.
Throughout the year, it invites visitors to discover its unique collection of historical monuments, more than 20 white sandy beaches and a remarkable array of landscapes, both on dry land and underwater. Take your time enjoying all there is to see, and you will come away with unforgettable memories.
The seven jagged peaks of the Bavella Needles take on fabulous colours at sunset, and whatever the viewpoint, you will never tire of watching the fabulous display.
Starting from the Col of Bavella, you can hike over to the Polischellu waterfalls, or towards the “bomb hole». This region offers great opportunities for canyoning, abseiling down waterfalls, rock climbing, hunting and fishing. Guaranteed excitement for everyone!
